Mortimer was born in Albacete (La Mancha, Spain) in 1973. Graduated with a degree in information sciences in Valencia (Spain), he released several underground themed cartoons and collaborated in several amateur issues during the 90’s. After working at the TV for some years, he became marketing manager in a specialized video game franchise. He has recently left his job to focus exclusively on illustration and cartoons as he has been doing for the last 3 years.

Environmentalism is a constant in Mortimer’s drawing works, where children, trees and little animals in the woods are the main characters. The Mortimer imaginery (including the tree-hugger girl, the pagan Gods, the deserts, the cactus, the tree-beings, the bearded men and the Buddhas) is a illusionary and innocent report, in some cases, of a new way of understanding in the relationship between the human being and the mother nature.

Mortimer speaks out about his creative process: “It’s a fantastic mind-challenging exercise to draw landscapes without a real reference; woods that are only in your head, created piece by piece like a fractal, fitting together like in a real life pattern. Apart from being a really pleasant activity, it is quite a way of travelling across that kind of places I would really like to be in”.

Mortimer is an active participant involved in artistic and cartoonists communities on the Internet being in close collaboration with the Microphones in the Trees community, one of the essential references on new trends in folk music. He also envelops his career as professional illustrator as member of the APIV (Professional Association of Valencian Illustrators). Last April, a solo exhibition was organized in the city of Albacete in order to show his recent artwork. Last months working with german cartoonist agency Toonpool.

Hi friends,

I am born in 1945 with the name Jan Baptist Nathalia Maria Neggers.
As a child it appeared I was more interested in color pencils and wasco than toys like a train or a ball.
When I was 12 years old I won a price in a contest published by the school community. From that day on drawing and painting has a very important roll in my life. Several years at the academy and many workshops has made me to who I am now. I´ve been selected many times by the European aquarelleinstitution. Even a few of my works are sold on a auction by Sothebys.
Every drawing, painting or sketch is a journey for me. I still learn new things every day. Keeping focused, that´s the message, but I try to keep it fun. From all the disciplines I have learned till today, watercolor paintings,caricature & cartoon are my favorites.

Hi... I am Marcos Noel

Since childhood, drawing is present in my life by Ziraldo´s characters, by Mauricio de Souza Comic Strips and characters, or by the unmistakable traces of the amazing and unic J.Carlos.

I was born in Niteroi, a small city (not so small today) near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1973. I am married with an angel called Gisele and have no sons (yet). Graduated in Telecom Engineering in 1997. Although I work as an engineer since then, I also draw for passion.

Thought I was invited to draw for a book in 1989 , my passion for drawing was not so explored until 2003.

In 2003 this passion, that was sleeping, came back to life. Since then I have been drawing for Humor Festivals in Brazil and around the world. My works were selected in many of them.

In 2009 I recieved my first Honorable Mention on the II FESTIMEC Humor Contest (II National Honorable Mention Humor Festival - Brazil).

For now on I want to work also as a proffessional cartoonist and this site will help me in this way.

Royaards, a Dutch cartoonist and illustrator currently living in Amsterdam. He is a self-taught artist and his work has a distinct and recognizable style characterized by clean, crisp lines. He uses little text in his cartoons preferring a more graphical approach instead, in which the image and the objects within the image convey the message non-verbally.
For him, cartooning is a way to share his views of the world. This view translates to cartoons that are never really laugh-out-loud; instead they seek to convey one or multiple (multi-tiered, paradoxical) messages via (hopefully) clever imaging

Bira Dantas was born in 1963. He went through an internship in Ely Barbosa Studio, where he was the assistant of the designer Eduardo Vetillo and then he started drawing for the Comics magazine "Os Trapalhoes". In 1982, he was hired as a cartoonist by the Sao Paulo Chemist Workers Union and since then, he publishes cartoons in flyers, bulletins and in newspapers of some unions. He also draws for CUT (Brazilian Unic Workers Central). He has worked with animations in Briquet Filmes (Bond Boca). In 1985, he was a member of the AQC (Associação dos quadrinhistas e caricaturistas de São Paulo). In 1987 in Sydney I started drawing cartoons. I was first published in Hong Kong in 1992. I only draw legal cartoons. The main character is called John Fytit (pronounced "Fight it") and has a passing physical resemblance to my principal during articles who eventually became a Judge.

I tell you this as I want to make it clear that the John Fytit character is not me. After asking me "Who draws the cartoons?" this tends to be the second question that I am asked.

As in real life all the lawyer characters look the same. Lady lawyer characters are a bit thin on the ground but when they do appear they have glasses and pointy heads.

I'm a professional cartoonist living in Auckland, New Zealand. I work from a studio at home, I produce two daily cartoon strips, they're called "The Politician" which has been running for over twenty five years and is syndicated to papers in eight countries and 'Crumb' my new strip about a blackbird. I was born in England, at school I excelled at drawing cartoons in the margins of my maths book and falling asleep. On leaving school I studied production engineering for five years then jumped on a aircraft bound for New Zealand where I've lived ever since. I was employed as an illustrator and cartoonist by New Zealand's largest daily newspaper, the New Zealand Herald, for three years. But for the last twenty five years I've been pretending to work from home as a comic strip artist.
